Faculty Openings: KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI (Seoul, South Korea)

Overview: The Kim Jaechul Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at KAIST is currently seeking applicants for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at all levels. Located in Seoul, South Korea, the school is expanding across all areas of AI and Machine Learning.

Target Research Areas: We invite applicants from all areas of AI, including but not limited to:

  • Computer Vision & Natural Language Processing (NLP)

  • Robotics

  • Computer Systems for AI/ML

  • Human-AI Collaboration

  • Applied AI/ML

Start Date: Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 (Start dates are negotiable).

Qualifications

  • Degree: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a core research field or expect to obtain one before the start date.

    Note for candidates nearing completion: You must pass your final thesis defense within 6 months of the application date and submit a confirmation letter from your advisor.

  • Language: Ability to teach in English.

  • Preferences: Preference will be given to female applicants, foreign nationals, and those with industrial or academic experience.
