What is Paksanim?
Paksanim (PT Paksanim Network Indonesia) is a scientific ecosystem that connects Talented Scientists (Indonesian researchers/students domiciled in South Korea) with industrial opportunities. We bridge the gap between Korean manufacturing innovation and the Indonesian Halal market demand.
Is this a full-time job?
No, this is a project-based professional freelance opportunity. We understand that many of our members are active Master’s or PhD students. You can accept projects (Auditing or R&D) that fit your academic schedule.
Is there any registration fee?
Absolutely not. Joining the K-Halal Scientist Hub network is 100% free. We are looking for partners, not selling a membership.
Who can join as a Scientist Partner?
We are looking for Indonesian citizens currently living in South Korea who are:
Master’s or PhD candidates (or recent graduates).
Bachelor’s (S1) graduates currently residing in Korea.
Background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
Do I need a prior Halal Auditor Certificate to join?
No, it is not mandatory at the registration stage. If your profile is selected (shortlisted) by the Halal Certification Center, we will provide the necessary technical briefing or training to prepare you for the audit process.
I am an S1 graduate living in Korea, can I apply?
Yes! If you have a strong background in science and are detail-oriented, you are welcome to apply. We value competence and integrity.
I have lab duties during weekdays. Can I work on weekends?
Yes, absolutely. Our partners (the Halal Certification Center) fully understand that most of our Talented Scientists are full-time researchers or students. The work schedule is highly flexible. You can communicate your availability directly with the agency, and in many cases, factory inspections or remote tasks can be arranged on weekends or specific dates that do not interfere with your academic responsibilities.
What is the difference between an Auditor and a Researcher?
Auditor: Your main task is to visit factories in Korea (site inspection) to verify Halal compliance, check raw materials, and review production processes based on the Halal Assurance System (HAS).
Researcher: Your task is primarily remote or lab-based, focusing on R&D consulting for Indonesian clients (e.g., product formulation, alternative ingredient sourcing, or literature review).
Will I be working under Paksanim or the Halal Certification Body?
Paksanim acts exclusively as your talent connector. The final selection and supervision are conducted directly by the Halal Certification Center. Once you are shortlisted and approved, you will work under their management and operational standards. We simply ensure that the best talents (you) are connected to the right agency.
Which Halal Agency (LPH) will I be working with?
To maintain professional ethics and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), we cannot disclose the name of the Halal Certification Center publicly. We will only reveal the specific agency and client details to shortlisted candidates who proceed to the interview stage.
Can I get a recommendation letter to apply for a part-time work permit at Immigration?
Yes. The Halal Agency will assist in preparing the necessary documents for your part-time work permit application to the Korea Immigration Service.
What happens after I register?
Database Entry: Your profile will be stored in our secure talent pool.
Screening: Our team reviews your background against the current project needs.
Shortlisting: If you match a specific requirement (e.g., a factory project in your area), we will contact you for a brief interview/discussion.
Deployment: Once selected, you will receive the project details and contract.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. We take data privacy seriously. Your CV and personal details are strictly confidential and will only be shared with our official partners (Halal Certification Center/R&D Clients) for recruitment purposes after you give consent. We never sell data to public third parties.
